Not just commercial interests' disputes between Soka and Shoshu, but both organizations don't engage in deeper studies of the Lotus Sutra!! If really they engage more studies, then at least knowledge in the Sutra can guide and alter their action, as both organizations only wish to fulfill their members' daily wishes such as to get richer, to be successful top student in schools, to have a great marriage, etc, but forgotten the real intent of the Buddha in the Lotus Sutra, that is to propagate Lotus Buddhism throughout the whole world!! Even Soka has done really good to propagate throughout world, is only for their selfish commercial interests to get much more funds, such as to build more Soka Cultural Centers. Why this important??
What has started the commercial interests' disputes between Soka and Shoshu, I personally think it was started from Shoshu demand Soka to build 100 temples throughout Japan. Then Soka thinking to expand the worldwide propagation, so it needs much more funds, and Shoshu had seen the potential of this expansion to get more members. Actually when Soka built much more community centers throughout Japan and the world, can see it's not hard for Shoshu to calculate how much Soka can contribute? But Soka did not wish to be controlled under the dictator mechanism of Shoshu and actually they also wish to earn more money from the worldwide expansion.
Why building Soka Cultural Center or Shoshu Temple have such a big effect to cause disputes?? For example, if organization started donation campaign from members, let say they demand $15 Million builds one small community center, members likely donate exceed the $15 Million target, let say already reached $25 Million excess of about $10 Million, do you think they will declare they received $25 Million?? No!! They declared they received let say about $17 Million so they have earned about $8 Million into their own pockets!! How to know they have received much more money? Seen the furniture and equipment they bought in the center, not from the cheap IKEA mega furniture stores, but imported from Japan and USA!!! Golden plated picture frames and very good quality wooden cardboard, it's only the public toilets equipment imported from China, as the toilets were too obvious for the public to see!!! So why Soka and Shoshu interested to build Community or Cultural Centers and Temples!!! And when the demand from Shoshu was too great for Soka to take, Soka decided to break away from Shoshu!! But when in the dispute they would pin-point at each other errors in Lotus Sutra teachings!!!
All due to greed for more money and not error in teachings as their main dispute's focus!! Please don't get trapped by their stories!!!
