Found no evidence in original Lotus Sutra that mentioned believers of Lotus Sutra to chant twice a day, morning and evening, only said to read and practice the Sutra continuously, can chant it once daily also continuously, can chant three times with one at noon the same continuously. Even don't have to chant daily, even just chant once in this lifetime you can achieve tremendous bigger benefits than anyone!! Of course chant more than once in this lifetime can get much more! It's said to be not all people will chant and practice the Lotus Sutra although all have the Buddha nature potential to practice the Sutra, due to some people deeds in past lifetime obstruct their continuous belief in the Sutra. Very normal some practice halfway to give up!! So it's due to the Nichiren priesthood to set up all these rules and practice to have said passing the pure flow from China and India, yet the Soka group also did not study and look carefully in these errors so continue teaching believers to carry on mistakes from priesthoods, yet today they are fighting among themselves, each says their own teaching is the true and the correct practice!! By fighting and not resolve in peace is already error!!
